1. Wm.J. Storr died of pneumonia; Geo. Fordham, J.P. Frankland, O. Holden, J.H. Hewitson, G. Kendall and A. Valks had been killed; W. Mitchell, T.G. Groves and W.H. Newton died from wounds; John Mitchell, E.V. Featherstone and J. Brennan were presumed to have been killed.

2. St. Paul's Institute predates the building of St. Paul's Church Hall and seems to have been a Church organisation rather than the building itself.

3. In 1992 the buildings were being used for commercial purposes.

4. In 2014 the building is the Salaam Community Centre for Muslims in the Hartlepool area. Nothing is known of the Roll of Honour either at the Centre or St. Paul's.
