Plaque with pointed top on black pattress of the same shape. At centre top is an anchor badge. The lettering is incised and painted black, using sans serif capitals throughout, with the quotation in italics.

aged 34 years.

that a man lay down his life for his
friends.”
This tablet is erected by his widow.
