Memorial Description

Plaque with pointed top on black pattress of the same shape. At centre top is an anchor badge. The lettering is incised and painted black, using sans serif capitals throughout, with the quotation in italics.

who lost his life in the
sinking of H.M.S. Ameer
18th March 1916
aged 34 years.
“Greater love hath no man than this
that a man lay down his life for his
friends.”

This tablet is erected by his widow.
